Margaret Rome's Active Rain/ Realtor Magazine Open House at 2716 Spring Hill Road Greenspring Valley - Owings Mills was today between 1pm and 3pm and I planned to be there. I anticipated seeing some big hitter Bloggers that were expected to attend and could not make it to dinner last night.
Even the best laid plans do not always go to schedule. My 10am clients in Bowie were an hour late. Who goes to the MVA (DMV to EVERY other person outside Maryland) on a Monday morning and expects to not have to wait?
Progress with the showings were slow. My GPS was convinced the only way into a development for the third house on our tour that we wanted to view was down a dirt road, through a chain link fence and over railway tracks. That was a painful waste of time and too many U-Turns!
The last house we saw was "THE ONE".All the bells and whistles with the perfect price tag. "We want to write an offer" they said emphatically. Normally these are the words that make the difference.
"NOT RIGHT NOW I AM AFRAID". I explained that I had a prior engagement and we could meet up later in the afternoon.
I had a date with a lady who had picked up the tab for dinner last night.
Needless to say I got to the Open House very late. Just a few people remained.
Plenty of cars filled the driveway.
Margaret Rome greeted me and relayed a list of people I missed. She then promptly picked up the phone and got busy again.
Lenn Harley (MD #1) , Margaret Woda (MD #2) to name a few.
My friend Stacey-Ann Baugh and Rich Iarossi had made the drive from PG and AA County.
My new best friend....it's uncanny how similar we are.....Carolyn Tann Starr was also around snapping pictures
Sorry, it's intentionally stretched. It does not do Carolyn justice, but it was attempt to hide the obvious "too many days of snow stuck in the house eating chocolate" look! (This should be an incentive to walk with the DR on April 11th)
It was great being part of this event that was on my doorstep. I can't wait for Rain Camp in DC in May.
