Okay everyone! This is a last minute reminder for this weekend! Every year at about this time I write a post to tell you about the upcoming Fair Oaks Fiesta Days – this is the 63rd year it has been presented with free admission, and it is a ton of fun for all! Come on out May 5-6, 2012.

Many in the Fair Oaks area have heard about the popular annual Fair Oaks Dog Walk, held every October, that starts at the Village Park, but did you know that Fair Oaks has a great Dog Park?
Of course, dogs on leashes are welcome in all of the Fair Oaks parks, but I'm talking about a special fenced placed where your dog can run loose and play with other dogs all year around.

It's that time again! April 30 - May 1, 2011 is the annual Fair Oaks Spring Fest. This will be the 62nd year it has been celebrated, and it is a tradition that everyone in the county looks forward to. Best of all -- it's free! This year the theme is "Go GREEN for Spring!" As usual the Fair Oaks Village wil be closed to through traffic so that booths, entertainment and a huge car show can take place on the main street and in the parks of the village. This is fun. I read this a couple of days ago, and I printed out my BOO signs and poems, fixed up my bags, and when I went out the door, there was a BOO bag on my porch! So We have been BOOed and we have BOOed others. How about you?

We are fortunate in Fair Oaks to have a wonderful open air theatre and some talented folks who present some of the most fun Broadway shows every year. Thursday evenings all summer long you can enjoy really great music at Concerts in the Park in Village Park in Fair Oaks, California.
This is great family fun. There is a bandstand, and everyone gets comfortable on the lawn to enjoy the music, dance, watch their kids on the playground equipment, have a picnic, or whatever. It’s free, and our evenings are wonderful in Fair Oaks.

All the fun, games, great food, and one of Northern California's best car shows are still favorites that attract fans from all over.

Celebrating the Chickens
If you are at all familiar with Fair Oaks Village, you know about our chickens. Hundreds of wild and beautiful chickens roam the Village, and they have been part of the character of our town for many years. They have even been the subject of national magazine articles. Families come to the Plaza Park in the heart of the Village to watch them, and children of all ages laugh and enjoy their antics. Some folks bring birdseed to feed them (please no junk food).
