tucson az: Birdwatching in Tucson Arizona - 03/27/22 11:37 AM
Yes, those are Pelicans in Tucson.  A rare sight indeed.  The photographer captured these resting fowl taking a break from their journey at Arthur Pack Park, where many of today's photos were taken.  For the sake of trivia, a group of Pelicans are called a pod.  But if they are fishing as a group, a fleet!  They can also be called a pouch, scoop or squadron.
One of my friends and former clients is an avid birdwatcher, helping increase the known and sited birds in Tucson by over 70 specimens!   I recently enjoyed a zoom meeting shared by him, and he invited … (3 comments)

tucson az: Life is HOT in Sunny Tucson - Bring your Shades! - 06/29/16 02:07 PM
Thinking of moving to Tucson, AZ but worried about weather in the SWDesert?
Personally speaking,  I'll take our high temps over hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis, earthquakes and the like.
We do get our own Desert 'brand' of weather, however, so with full disclosure, I'll include a couple of links.
Here's an idea of what monsoon rain is, versus a summer rainstorm.  Great photo collection online!

tucson az: El Presidio Bed and Breakfast near Downtown Tucson, AZ - 04/15/16 02:41 AM

My husband and I were enchanted to visit the El Presidio Inn, Bed and Breakfast near downtown Tucson in early June. We had decided to share a "staycation" since I'm pretty busy at work, and this way we could get away and relax, while further discovering our own backyard.

It was immediately apparent why this B&B would belong to Trip Advisor's Hall of Fame.  Before we even arrived, we received this lovely email confirmation:
Dear Rocco and Cara, Thank you very much for your 2-night reservation in the Gate House, arriving April 1st,Friday, and departing April 3rd.  I hope you will feel completely at … (2 comments)

Investors Better Jump on Great Opportunities in Tucson, AZ
So, some of my favorite investors just closed on a home flip they managed last week, and promptly wanted to "do it again".  I am a fan of working with them -- they take a run-down home in a neighborhood, fix and clean and stock with appliances and make it move-in ready...at affordable prices.  Seems like a win-win.
Well, THEY (Market Analyzers) have been saying that Tucson is the number one market place within which to invest nowadays.  Don't take my word for it...you can read about it here.
So we found … (3 comments)

Tucson AZ Termites:  Can't Live With 'Em, How to Do Without 'Em!
Western Subterranean Termites in Tucson, AZ:  They are as standard as ice cream at Baskin Robbins, Mountains to Colorado, or White Sands to New Mexico...  In Tucson, AZ, you either have termites...or you're going to get them.
They are the wrong kind of wall decor!
And don't think they are only around wood.
These tubes are 8 inches long!
They love damp areas.
Western Subterranean Termite colonies are usually located in the ground, and can even exist above ground if there is a constant source of moisture.  They construct mud tubes to travel between their colony … (3 comments)
