landmark: Tree Lighting at the Frazee House Friday 12/5 at 6pm

The historic Frazee House in Scotch Plains will hold a Tree Lighting Friday evening at 6pm. The Frazee is house is one of the oldest landmarks in Union County and the story of Aunt Betty Frazee is delightful! The event is FREE! Refreshments will be served. Parking is limited. The legend occurs during the battle of Short Hills on June 26, 1777. During the battle British General Cornwallis came upon the Frazee house and smelled the bread that Aunt Betty was baking for the American troops. Cornwallis requested a loaf of bread from her.
