We Had A Little Rain In Holiday FL
We have had rain for the last week and a half. Not just a shower or two. We have had RAIN. My area has gotten over 6 inches in the last few days. Not too bad, no flooding.
But Holiday, FL just a few miles from us, has received over 13". Lots of flooding and many people moved out of their homes because they had no power, no sewage, nothing. The news showed the streets in that area: people were swimming, children were splashing, kayaks and small John boats were floating around taking their owners … (13 comments)

Rosewood At River Ridge, New Port Richey, FL is part of the larger River Ridge communiy. Building started in Rosewood about the year 2000. The square footages range from 1600 to about 2800.
The Rosewood subdivision has single-family homes. Many homes with pools, 2 or 3 car garages, large patios, and there are lots of ponds and conservation areas throughout the neighborhood.
Sitting at the DeCubellis Road and Town Center Road junction, just south of Ridge Road, Rosewood is next to River Ridge Middle and High schools and a shopping area with a Publix Supermarket is about a mile away.

Branching Out In Tarpon Springs, FL
We love our trees here in the sunshine state and take extra care to save them whenever we can. These lucky branches had a wall built with special niches just for them (We all know what niches are and how we have to have special ones).
We were just leaving Billy’s Tarpon Turtle Restaurant when Craig pointed these out to me. We’ve seen them before but they never said “blog fodder” to me then.
As I said, we love our branching trees.

Dreaming of a sailboat, here's one at the Tarpon Springs Yacht Club in Tarpon Springs, FL. There was no information as to where this came from or who made it but it is a lovely piece of art.
We were at the Tarpon Springs Yacht Club for dinner and discovered this lovely sailing vessel in a separate room.

I love going to the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs, FL. You just never know who you will run into. This visit got us a visit from an egret sitting on our window of Rusty Bellies Restaurant. (One of our favorite restaurants).
He seems to be contemplating something; maybe it was whether or not he could grab some of my lunch.
He stayed to visit for quite a while, was very polite and did not at any time try to grab a french fry.

We were out on a listing appointment in Holiday, FL. Afterwards, we stopped at Home Depot to buy a new ceiling fan. Ours was growling at us all night. Then, because it was a perfect day with low humidity and a lovely breeze, we decided that lunch at Ms. Vicki’s On The River would be our next destination.

Burning A Hole In The Florida Sky, At sunset a couple of nights ago I was outside checking out the Sandhill Cranes who were sleeping in our pond and saw this interesting sight. Of course, I ran back in the house to get one of my many cameras.
The clouds were like upside-down sheep and the sun just seemed to be burning through them.
I love sunsets and sunrises, there is always such an infinite variety, and I never get tired of seeing them and taking pictures of them.

But this morning, she checked out our old Underwood which I keep on the old Singer treadle machine (which still works, BTW, so does the Underwood)

This lovely villa with a fabulous view of the golf course and woods beyond closed today! The sellers are heading for their new home up north, and the buyer’s moving truck is outside the villa.
