Most of the chatter around the internet social circles was speculation about why Twitter would want to buy Posterous. Twitter Buys Posterous Evan Williams is the entrepreneur that started Blogger. Google bought Blogger in 2003. Evan went on to co-found Obvious Corp. who invented Twitter. Twitter is now the third most used social media network and Twitter has turned down some amazing offers to be purchased. Twitter just bought Posterous for an undisclosed amount of money.
