Wellington Equestrian Jumping and Dressage Festivals – 2014 Season is On 
We are in full season now here in Wellington Florida home of the equestrian capital of the world. The FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival – WEF and the Adequan Global Dressage Festival are under way right now and will be hosting many events until March 30. 
Mark Bellissim CEO of the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center has made a lot of improvements to the grounds and surrounding areas to really have Wellington be deserving of their place on the equestrian map.

What You Can Do At Wellington WEF- Wellington Equestrian Festival  Have you ever watched a horse show? A hunter-jumper competition? This is a great activity for you and your family especially if you have not been to an equestrian event. 


Show jumping competitions are every week Wednesday through Sunday.

You can stop by during the week just to unwind, feel the breeze, smell the country air and be amazed at the beauty of these horses here. These events are totally free.

Wellington Equestrian- Equestrian Season Is Just Around The Corner!
Wow, how time flies! It seems we were just saying good-bye to our Wellington Equestrian events that we have here in Wellington Florida each year. As we wind down from summer events and school is back in session- we are looking forward to our Equestrian season and Winter Equestrian Festivals to begin once again. Polo matches are awesome to watch.
If you have not seen a Polo match- it is one of those events that you need to have on your bucket list.

The Village Of Wellington approved Stadium Jumping's 179 Acre arena in Wellington Preserve, the south end of Wellington last night with a vote of 3-1. There was one member absent and Linda Cohen dissented. 
Linda says she supports Stadium Jumping  but felt the measure was rushed and that it may not serve the people of Wellington. In order for Stadium Jumping to build the new arena they needed a land use change. There was opposition to the way in which Stadium Jumping was seeking the approval. It's all about the money and lots of it! $$$$$$$$ I mean more than you would ever think some horses and lovers of horses would bring to a community. According to the Palm Beach County Tourist Development Council the Winter Equestrian Festival alone brings more than $57 Million to Palm Beach County.  
Stadium Jumping holds the Winter Equestrian Festival and the National Horse Show in Wellington Florida every year. These two events alone bring in over $66.5 Million dollars to Wellington Florida! That is a lot of money for one town to be getting from horse events!
