Quarry Farmer's Market Moves to The Yard
 
The very successful Quarry Farmer's Market is moving effective Sunday December 14, 2015 to the parking lot at The Yard, 5300 McCullough. Hours will continue 9am-1am.  The official name for the enterprise is now The Yard Farmers & Ranchers Market.
 
The Quarry Farmer's Market had a pretty successful run. I don't know why their parking lot set-up did not get renewed. There was some discussion that the parking lot was not available for shoppers. But there was limited retail operating in the area on Sunday, at least that's what I observed.

We all know that eating a well balanced diet contains fruits and vegtables and the fresher the better. Our local grocers do a good job of making it easy to shop for produce but sometimes we can get items just off the truck and help local farmers at the same time.There is a Farmer's Market at the Pearl (former Pearl Brewery) every Saturday morning, from 9am to 1pm.
