As you can see from the photo's above, the sky can change in a matter of minutes. I love all three photo's, but my favorite is the first one. The colors in the sky are amazing. It is beautiful and yet a bit mysterious. I'm so glad that I had my camera with me this particular night, most of the time I see things like this and my camera is home. Hope you enjoy.
Great pictures Debbie.
The first one is my favorite too. I love the layering of colors in the sky.

Jason,
Thank you so much. I truly enjoy taking photos, maybe I missed my calling.
Thesa,
Yes, it's wonderful isn't it. I really should carry my camera with me all the time, but I am usually have my arms full with purse, briefcase. Thanks for your comment.
Debbie you are very fortunate living where you do. It is a beautiful part of our country.
My mother and father in law lived in Amenia (right on Rt 22) for many years. They moved there from Larchmont after their children had grown and they could no longer afford living in Westchester County.
I grew up in Peekskill but left there after graduating from college.
People often thing of New York as being Manhattan; little do they know of the beautiful Hudson Valley.
Ed,
Yes the Hudson Valley does still have much beauty. It is growing rapidly though. Amenia is a nice little town, but it too is starting to grow. Thanks for your comment.
Marci,
That is the beauty of photography, each person sees something different in each photo. Thanks for the comment and I'm glad it gave you a calgon moment.
Very nice, Debbie. Where were those taken? Ed, yours was gorgeous as well. Looks like my wife and I need to make a little trip up the Hudson if we ever make it back east again.
P.S. I hope you don't mind, but this thread gave me an idea for a picture blog. I added a link on to that blog that links up with this thread. Let me know if you want the link removed.
Mary,
Yes, you should share your photos. Put them in Photography & Great Shots! also, there are some great photos there. I have been thinking about a cell phone with a camera, not sure about it though. Thanks for your comment.
Randy,
Thank you for the comment. The link is fine, I like sharing my photography. Your photos are wonderful. Yes, if you get back east there are some great sites to see that most people are too busy to see. These photos were taken froma parking lot of a restaurant in Poughkeepsie.
