Everything you want is there for the taking.....if you work at it.

Nothing will take you where you want to go better than having a sense of direction and purpose.    When you channel all your energy into a single goal and work at it every day in a logical, methodical way you can't help but come out a winner.

There's no secret to it.   It's focus.

Lay your plans carefully and then follow them through consistently.   The key word is "consistently."

You can accomplish anything you want if you have a burning passion to achieve......and then work diligently towards that end.

No ad intended......but PrimeLinx is a classic example.   As you know we make a silly little car sign....which by the way works like crazy to attract new business.   We knew we could never possibly reach the volumes of people we wanted single handed.   So, we started an affiliate program which grew....and grew......and grew some more.   We followed our dream with passion and zeal, building a large network of resellers and targeted our marketing to many different businesses.    When sales became slower to real estate agents because of the downturn, we shifted our emphasis to areas not affected by the economy such as health care professionals, sports enthusiasts etc. etc..

By diversifying our business continues to thrive even in a slower economy.   In the past couple of months we've noticed that our real estate customers are returning to us.    A good indication that real estate sales are picking up.

Never give up!!

Marketing is marketing....no matter what business you're in.   I'll go back to my buzz words of read, learn, innovate, change and adapt.    Anyone who follows these key initiatives and has the focus and foresight to put them into action can't help but reach their goals.

My last blog spoke of a time for personal renewal and re-dedication.    Everything you want is within your grasp, if you only have the courage to go after it every day.......consistently.      Those who wait for success to come to them may have a long wait.

Be sure to subscribe to my blogs for news you can use daily.

Thanks.  Sincerely, David

ps......Happy Easter & Passover to all.

Focus is a great thing.  Knowing what you want and put that narrow beam on it and you can get there.

I agree, with marketing you may not see instant results but it built up results over time.

David--You wrote a great post. i have tried to achieve consistency in my professional career, but I am getting frustrated because I try to wite instructional posts and no one comments. I feel like "Mr. Irrelevant" but I keep plugging. Maybe someone will find what I agonize over meaningful. Nothing yet.

I'm not a car sign person, but sometimes we quit a marketing campaign not realizing that we get tired of it before the public does. Consistent branding will always help us. Seems like although you have changed to other professions for your signs, the same rules still apply.

Hi David, well said, "read, learn, innovate, change and adapt".

I think the key to success is not necessarily knowing exactly how you are going to achieve your goal, but rather knowing that along the way you will likely have to innovate, change, and adapt in order to succeed.
