I went with a new plan and thanks to all who commented on my blog when I was searching. I went with Verizon. Coverage is what it came down to.

The plan was very affordable, but reading the fine print...Taxes could ad another 9% to 33% to the total bill! UP TO 33%!. My affordable cell phone is now just on the edge of being pricey for the time I have.

Then to top it off...It doubles in price when they added a Feature that I didn't ask for. (Tomorrow's call!)

I love the new phone...but I am out to lunch on the company. We will see tomorrow!

We are with Verizon because of coverage. But every time we make a change, our contract is lengthened by 2 more years from change date. Good thing we like the service!

Steve and Marti....I think that most of the companies do the same thing. I have no problem with that, but I do with the extra charge. It will be fixed tomorrow!

Loving T-Mobile for the most part. Taxes suck, but they are there regardless of carrier. Value is good and the coverage is generally good. And I hear ya on the excess features. Luckily we can change a lot of things without lengthening the contract.

Verizon has the best coverage here locally in the East Bay of CA. I'm GLAD to pay the taxes. Taxes are charged on all carriers' bills.

We use Verizon here because it covers the county and it works. It's not the cheapest game in town, though.

I used to have Verizon, but the bill was eating me alive. I have switched to Sprint and love the lower fees- my only regret is that I got a Palm Treo- which I do not care much for.
