After showing or trying to show property in Downtown Austin yesterday....BIG KUDOS to Kelvin Glover !!!
He was the listing agent of an amaizing loft just east of 35...and he allowed me to show his listing...IMAGINE THAT!
He answered his phone, when I called ahead of time to get the gate code...
He answered his phone when I called to ask for assistance in opening the gate...
He informed me of the special features of his property. He was one of 2 agents that wanted me to show, and gave me all the information to do it.
WOW!
Now in reading this you may think ummmm...he didnt do anything special....BUT HE DID !
I was only able to show 3 out of 8 possible lofts....very sad percentage.
The listing agents did not answer or return my call. Therefore-- key boxes, door codes...were not found...appointments with occupants were not able to be made.
2 agents who I actually spoke to did not want me to see the listing. One said only if you have a cash offer over the list price...the other said it was dirty...this one was vacant and clean the last time I saw it...
What happened to the high standard of Ethics I upheld Austin to?????? My faith in other Realtors has gone way down.
If anyone wants to sell a property in Downtown Austin....they really need to make sure the agent is an honest one. How do you figure that out? Stay tuned....
