Wasn't sure about this one, and I don't particularly like Tarantino's movies, but this is a really good movie.
Violence apart, it is a little more flushed out than his usual stuff.
I am not sure what all the fuss about Brad Pitt is about. I didn't think he was that good, and I found him annoying. BUT, Christopher Waltz, who plays the German Jew Hunter was fabulous. He deserves the best supporting actor award.
I'm also curious about this one. I think you mean fleshed out, but then again for Tarantino, maybe flushed out is more appropriate.

I love QT movies. You know he was a clerk at Manhattan Beach Blockbuster writing his scripts on legal pad, longhand . . . (a client of mine knew him when)

Brad Pitt is one of the most overrated actors in the industry, that I agree with for sure.
I haven't liked a Tarantino move since Pulp Fiction; I thought this was much better. The problem with most WW-2 movies is that you know how it is going to end. This was like being in a parallel universe, where the outcome is something altogether different. I like that.
Also, as a person of the Jewish persuasion, I get tired of seeing us as victims. This movie, like Munich, by Spielberg, depicted Jews as people like everyone else; We like to kick ass, too!
Jane - I have to disagree... Christopher Waltz should be nominated for Best Actor, not supporting actor. He was awesome as the Jew Hunter, and his chilling performance deserves the Oscar!
Bill,I totally agree. I only said supporting because that's how they do it with a main star in place. He was amazing.
