NORWOOD PARK

Norwood Crossing Apartments opened last week, after final approval from state regulators on September 28th.

With a completely updated facility, local resident Johann Kaiser, is settling into his new apartment and happy with the improvements.  With an iTunes account of over 2000 titles dated from the 1920s to the 1950s, the tech-savvy tenant can now use wired and wireless for the use of his multiple computers.

LINCOLN PARK

If you live in Chicago and feel like grabbing a quick bite to eat before seeing a great local band in the neighborhood is Schuba's.

Imagine the great news to find out that Schuba's owners have just opened a new location called Lincoln Hall.  With lunch starting Thursday the onetime Three Penny movie theater now offers a small-but-dapper front tavern, which will be the obvious choice for that quick burger and some sweet potato fries before the show.  And don't miss out on the musical fun either!

WEST LOOP

Time for margarita's Mexican-style.  Let me explain...

According to Crain's, Jose Cuervo is set to close a deal today purchasing a building at 303 W. Madison.   If the deal goes through, this will be the first time a Mexican investor has made a large real estate purchase in the Chicago area.

OLD TOWN

Have you ever seen the show Check Please on local Channel 11, WTTW?  The host and famed sommelier Alpana Singh will be hosting a "How to Pour Wine" class this evening at 6pm.

In celebration of Drinks Over Dearborn's 1 year anniversary this evening.  Drinks Over Dearborn is an intimate setting on the second floor filled with exclusive finds.

EVANSTON

With all the controversy around parking, Evanston is taking a new stance on things.  From now until Thanksgiving, the city is offering free parking for up to four hours at the Maple Avenue garage.

In the downtown area of Evanston, the current construction project of widening sidewalks in the area has prompted the city to offset the inconvenience of lane closures on Maple Avenue.
