From Unsellable to Sold with Staging in Havertown, Pennsylvania

By
Home Stager with Home Staging & Organizing

This house located in Havertown, Delaware County was in desperate need of an updated look. It had been on the market for months without an offer and lacked buyer appeal. After a realtor change and strong recommendation to stage, I was called in. Working with a limited time frame and budget, I was able to achieve dramatic changes. The seller agreed to remove dated window treatments and oversized furniture as well as replace dated light fixtures and ceiling fans. Initially reluctant to proceed with staging, the seller was sold on the benefits after seeing the transformation and receiving a signed offer within 10 days of listing the newly staged property!

It's no wonder it sold quickly.  Just the change in the living room, with the removal of the window treatments and oversized furniture, is remarkable.  Wonderful job.

Linda,

Your Staging really made a difference.  I love the furniture placement you used.  It was a great choice of furniture for the home as well.  Lovely Staging!!!

Great improvement.  You removed the obstacles for buyers to see the home without distractions and oversized furniture blocking up rooms.

Good work!

Thanks for your complimentary comments! This project was again proof that even though a buyer is not purchasing the seller's furniture/accessories, those things can leave a negative image in the buyer's mind and hinder a sale. The whole vibe of this house changed post staging, contributing to a quick sale.

Great job. Simple changes make all the difference. I like how you took down the blinds in the living room and used the beautiful changing color landscaping to bring in color.

Kathy & Christine,

Just removing the oversized, dated furniture made a big difference. I find sellers are often reluctant to remove window coverings (even when they are not needed for privacy). Doing so made the family room space feel larger and brighter.

The family room view is beautiful. What a selling feature! Because of the great staging, your eye is now able to go other places besides the (previous) distracting decorating.

Thanks, Peggy. Yes, just getting rid of the dated furniture & decor improved the appearance in a big way. So glad the seller was open to getting rid of it.
