The Road to Ubiquity... revisited

By
Industry Observer with ARFCO Media

A few days ago Active Rainer Jim Lee shared a few word clouds he created on wordle.net... I couldn't resist and had to play with a few of my blogs to see what they'd look like...

In social media we use the term ubiquity to describe a philosophy of online involvement. We accomplish visibility and opportunity by participating in a wide array of communities and conversation.

I write an annual Thanksgiving Poem and send it to all my clients using a different poetry style every year (last year was rap - ouch!).  This is something I can use this year.  Thank you!

y'all are too kind... I should post a piece I did back in 1983, computer poems... much like today's "clouds"... Crap, that means I have to go to storage and forage through a bazillion boxes of old stuff! Maybe this weekend...

I know they call it social media, but look at how many have become popular never having allowed a single comment or ever comment back to others. They make it a one way conversation and don't let others in, but they get the public's attention and it works.

Rene - thank you for the fun tool! I was actually looking for Tag Clouds the other day and this site looks like it will create some great clouds. Have a good week!

Todd: ditto

Monica: I ran a few others having fun trying to get the words to show up like I wanted them to... great fun.

Hi Rene, it would seem that one day I would get what the clouds do! It always looks like those words are there to get "caught."  Am I right? That's probably a good thing too. ;-)

I just checked mine out - very cool. I couldn't figure out how to share, but it was fun. Changed the colors to bold red and blue. You knew that, right? ;-)
