Canadian Referrals.

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Nova Scotia Real Estate Blog

Canadian referrals are going to be be tougher to cultivate on AR than those south of our border. Not that we don't have the population up here but the seeming lack of agents who subscribe to AR. I think that perhaps I should make a concerted effort and send out invitations across the country to selected firms. It really is something that could be a big plus to anyone trying to promote themselves in this vast country we have.

For any Canadians reading this -Please add a comment. Maybe we can figure out a way to get some more fellow Canucks as members. Not that I don't welcome our American friends. Any help would be welcome.

It seems to me that, if you make a real effort to promote your market in your blogs, with the AR search engine power, you could be a real big fish in your pond. Google will find you if you use the right text and words.

Well- AR's search engine power is awesome and is already pointing people towards me. The thing that would be nice would be to connect with agents in other centers. Thanks

AR's engine is very powerful! I have worked up in the ranks, organically, soo fast ever since becoming a AR member. Good luck.

I truly have met some great American members and have learned so much from them.

I have only met a few Canadians on AR, mostly other stagers.  It would be nice to network with other Realtors from the West Coast.  None have 'surfaced" yet to my knowledge.

I agree that it is dissapointing the number of Canadian members that are NOT utilizing this resource. I have sent a few invites and so far only one has accepted. Mind you, I'm new to the site myself, but I was surprised to see so few members. We'll work on it, right?

Maybe it's our competitive nature, getting in the way of wanting to share this site with too many other's?

This is too funny.  I have thought a number of times to myself, I don't really want to share AR with "others"

I want to keep all of this good information to myself, so I can be better informed than my competitiors.

Is this competitive nature really a Canadain thing?

I don't know - It's kind of cool tapping the vast information from our friends to the South on one hand, but networking with Canadians might produce more results on the other. I'm going to invite some more Canadians!.......when I break 15,000. Ha

I'm sure in time, the Canadian contingency will catch on and of course you'll be on top! Keep networking and blogging, and good luck with the Canadian networking project!

Paul.....I believe that to continue being at the top of our respective professions we need to encourage more interaction with our peers. AR is a great way to do that. The old comment that states "You can get everything you want in life if you only help other people get what they want".... is very true in this electronic community.

I find that the more open people are to sharing their knowledge and secrets with others, and the more receptive that we are to learning.... the more successful we all become. There's enough business out there ..... so don't be scared about inviting other like minded individuals to join AR..... that way everybody wins.

Hi Paul !

I have invited a few Canadian REALTOR®s and they hesitated to join. The home inspector and the mortgage broker who I invited both joined. Now that some of my peers have begun reading my blogs, they have approached me and are considering joining themselves. The real issue is that they don't think they will be able to be good enough writers or that they don't know what to blog about. I gave them a few suggestions to do with their interest (like golfing, local fishing, etc) and they perked up .  I think you will see Canadians trickle onboard.

How's the weather down there in NS ?  Bit cool here for July, lovely however.

It's been terrible till yesterday. Today was incredible and tomorrow looks good. We have the Tall ships down town this year. Crowds on the waterfront.

Yeah - I think the Canadian contingent will come slowly. I'm a horrible writer myself -but can adapt I figure. - It's not rocket science. Ha
