Macomb County, Michigan's News is the purpose of this Posting:
In today/s Macomb Daily / Pg 3A / Linda May--covering service club & veterans news--
has presented the readers with the 'up-lifting' article / "Veterans Support Center meets vet's needs."
...the article begins ..."To the veterans, it was all about keeping promises.."  She is referencing the
Vietnam Veterans [who came back to a country not too interested in supporting them; many
experiencing cruel & vicious greets--these are my words as seen in person or from the Vets themselves]
Linda by discussing their [Vets] feeling lost in the mazes of governmental programs for readjustment to civilian life; with medical [ & personal] help when needed.
For those of you who lived this personally, or through a co-worker or family member KNOW of which she
 writes.
This group of Veterans vowed that this would never happen again to any other Vet no matter their age,
or the war in which they served.

This VOW made real in the storefront operation in Roseville, Macomb Co. Michigan, is open to Vets of all
eras.  The center is located at:
...16945 12 Mile Road, Roseville, Michigan
...Hours- 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mon. through Friday
...Tues. Wed. & Thurs. appointments can be made to meet with a professional counselor.
...other services & meetings take place in the evening hours

Chapter 154 of Vietnam Veterans of America is basic to this Veterans Center

Best of all---IT IS FREE
...FREE of charge; it is run entirely by volunteers; with donations &  fundraisers
...it is 'by the Vets for the Vets' without any group gathering statistics, or dictating the 'how to's'
...it is for the Vets and their families
...it is a comfortable area- where those who have & do serve our Country can come to talk, & share
with others WHO understand-because they, too Served / Serve

GOOD FOR YOU ---thank you Linda & Praise & Thanks for ALL Vets & Family Members involved.
What a great Group for your support;
If you are unable to help monetarily at this time---Prayers are always welcome, I am certain--AND,
then. when you can do so, a donation of Funds would be graciously received.

Another opportunity:

Furniture Bank of Southeastern Michigan;
...is looking for furniture & other household items for Macomb Co. families in crisis.
...items including--mattresses, box springs, cribs, sofas, dining & kitchen tables for 4 or more.
...the contact phone #:  248-322-1300

Note; this exchange [248] is mainly  Oakland Co, MI.
so I am sure that families in crisis in many other Counties can also use your gently used or new items.
Another  good way to help turn around the State of Michigan in one small way.

Remember: all successful people subscribe to the following mantra " Left Foot, Right Foot"
                                                 You get the point!
                                                  Make that call!
                                                  Take that step!

Let all of us here in Michigan do THAT which will start the so needed
        "Turn-Around" for our State.
