Boys can cook too! They just have to learn early and it has to be fun and cool "-) This was great to watch and was a wonderful babysitter. Actually this was their uncle's idea. Normally my pass time and kitchen experience is making bread, but those pictures will come in a future post.
Sara,
Were they feeding an army? LOL That is a lot of food!
I have my daughters help me in the kitchen as well. My mother use to have us do it. I am blown away when I meet a gal or guy and they say they don't know how to cook.
Sara, Piggies in blankets are a great snack for kids and easy enough that they can make them by themselves (with a little supervision) and be proud.
Sara...I do that with my 6 year old granddaughter.....we braid choreg and also make homemade pizza.....
Sara this not only looks like fun, there is a nice reward when finished. Nice Photo!
Looks like he could have been making enough for a scout pack. Always good to get guys cooking young. We need to know how to make dough wrapped weanies when we move out on our own.
Hi Sara ~ I have two boys, (now young men) and they loved to do stuff like this when they were kids - until they hit their teens that is - that's when it became uncool!
Having said that, my eldest got back into it when he left home and has turned into a pretty decent cook. I don't think gender plays quite the role it used to in days gone by. (Thankfully).
BTW, just love the concentrated look on your younger boy's face!
Denise
Sata, Love to see boys in the kitchen. When I was in school girls went to Home Ec and Boys went to shop classes. The Home Ec did nothing for me. My husband is a better cook than I am. So is my son.
Paul, We did manage to eat most of them. Kinda blows me away too!
June, Multi-purpose activity, I love it!
Barbara, It's not so much the food but the memories that are made.
Michael, Yes and 2 proud little boys!
Mike, These little guys have their own secret stash of recipes
Denise, Besides getting me to throw the football around with them, the first thing they ask to do at my house is cook! It's my pleasure!!!
Yolanda, I can take no credit for that...that's their mom who is a neat freak, and their uncle who showed them what to do.
Bonnie, I taught Home Ec to 8th grade boys and girls, the boys almost always excelled. They cooked and learned to sew by hand and machine.
Sara - That photo brings s a special smile to the face! Ya gotta just love his choice of recipes. . .LOL
