Isn't that guy poisonous? I thought I was taught the more brilliant the color the more poisonous they are, was that an urban legend?

All amphibians have poisonous skin secretions, including salamanders, in fact, the skin secretion of the Pacific Newts is among the most toxic compounds known in nature. In spite of this, these animals are harmless to handle, just don’t eat them.

He is gorgeous. We have so many types in Florida. My friends freak out when they first see them....until they know how harmless and helpful they are. :-)
