Pawleys Island is located on the south end (we refer to it as the quiet end) of the Grand Strand. The southern tip and the furthest end is over the bridge to the historic district of Georgetown, South Carolina. Pawleys Island is mostly residential with many wonderful restaurants and great stretches of beach. Lots of growth here as the baby boomers discover the peaceful nature and wonderful people. We're glad we did!

Oops...new to blog...Thanks for the welcome. Actually, we love it here. We haven't been on a vacation since we moved here six years ago. We feel as if we have BEEN on vacation since we moved here! We work just as hard and just as long but being at the beach with so many wonderful people is the best thing that has ever happened to us. Our biggest surprise were the waterways! Eagles and dolphin, nooks and crannies, I don't ever think we'll see them all but each and every turn is as beautiful as the next. The long walks on the beach are pretty spectacular too...
