One of the best google tools, other than analytics, is their calendar. We have at least 3 different uses for it. My team uses it to keep track of where we are scheduled to be and when. This way, I know if my Buyer Specialists are showing or if I can schedule them. I know their days off, which change frequently, and they know mine.
Our clients get a google calendar emailed to them with all their contract dates on it when we go under contract. We can access the Master calendar with the dates for all Buyers and Sellers on it at the office or at home. They are color coded so we know which is which. ie: Susie Jones is in blue, Will Parks is in red, George Smith is green, etc. The database we use for our clients has a calendar, but it is not online, and we really needed one that could be accessed from anywhere.
The very best use we found for the calendar is local events posted on our website. The only downside is that we have to enter the events by hand, but we only do it once a month. Our county is small but we have a huge visitor base both summer and winter, with lots of events for them to attend. We have not been able to find one source for all events. Currently, people have to go to Keystone's website for their events, to Frisco's website for theirs, and so on. A few magazines are published with some of the events from various places, and the local paper has some. We have compiled all the events into one calendar, color coded by city or resort, and it lives on our website. Best of all, it can be saved by right clicking and adding it as a shortcut on anyone's desktop, so it is immediately accessible from any computer. We just realized we can do this, and we are going to really start marketing it to everyone we know. What a great way to get a shortcut to my website placed on lots of computers!
To sign up for your google calendar, just click on the links I have in this post and it will take you right to their page.
