Drawing Inspiration From Window Treatments

By
Mortgage and Lending with Liberty Bank of Arkansas

I was called in to work with young male homeowner.  After the Realtor seen the finished project, she commented that she thought for sure that I would have the homeowner remove the current window treatments in the living room. Instead, when I entered the room they became my inspiration for color for this space. I knew I would be adding accessories from my own inventory to this home.  Orange happens to be one of my favorite staging colors and thus I have several pieces in my inventory. The Realtor and homeowner loved the end results as I was able to pull the living/kitchen/dining space together with one color.

Love the orange accents Donna.  What was the color of the BEFORE walls?  The AFTER wall colors are SO-O much better!

Donna- it's funny but you wouldn't ordinarily think of orange as a color you'd use but in this setting, with the window treatments, it works!

This was a project that the Realtor hired me for 4 hours...that included seeing the home for the first time and making a trip back to my storage pulling inventory.

Seriously?  You staged this in four hours?  Amazing!  What a happy accident, having orange curtains.  I love the orange accessories - they look very cool and hip.  Nice job.

Thanks Sally, I did the entire home in 4 hours working with the homeowner! He put his trust in me and did everything I ask him to do.  I liked the orange with his eggplant sofa!

Thanks Liz!!!

Thanks Allison...sometimes I don't get to do everything I would like, but I'm a believer in something is better than nothing! I would have like to have done much more to this home. But I was working within the Realtors budget and time frame!

Speed staging, and pulling from your inventory was tough, but you pulled it off.  No it doesn't look like only a male lives there.

Beautiful room, but I just want to know why the TV is so high !  If hung considerably lower, the wires could have been hidden by some carefully placed accessories.

I hope the realtor is so happy that he calls you all the time.  Turning what the realtor saw as a negative into a positive is great.

Owner is a typical man.  The TV is right out in front .

Maureen, Thanks, this Realtor uses me on a regular basis. She like to hire me to come in and work 4-6 hours on her listings....prior to any photos going online. Sometimes I wish I had more time! So much more I could do. But as you can see from these photos...time well spent!

Thanks Cathy!!!

Cindy, Thanks...this guy made the remark that he could have purchased candles...but would had no idea where to place them. He took photos to take to work to show his co-workers. He said he wish he knew me when he first moved in.

Sandi, I totally agree...this was one of my recommendations. The photos were taken a day after staging. He may have not had time to move it yet. I suggested taking it off the wall and placing it on the console underneath.

Virginia,  Thanks... TV seem to be such a large issue with male clients!

Donna,

The bright orange accents really brightened up this neutral toned home. I'm sure it won't last long, especially now that you put life back into it with your special touches!
