My very first video tour suitable for public viewing - I would love some constructive criticism!

Okay, I'm putting myself "out there" for the first time since joining AR. I am getting close to launching my video/virtual tour business. My website is still very much under construction, but we are working hard on it. I went to a new construction spec home and shot this tour. I'm going to improve the quality (in every way!), but I would love some expert opinions!

Also, are there any other women doing this as a full-time business?

Not bad. Just two comments (and not that I'm a professional in this area or anything): Of course you're going to be working out the bugs, but (1) gotta shoot video level - I don't know if you were using a tripod and (2) 3+ minutes is too long - I think probably 2 minutes or less, people just won't spend that much time watching (unless they're really interesting in buying it). For whatever it's worth. : )

good.

shorter is better and how about adding some naration instead of just music, so that you can point out some of the highlights of the home.

I have been considering adding this to my listing, do you have a video editing software you use?

good luck with it, Charles

Lory, too long, maybe one minute and 30 seconds, try to use a support for the camera to avoid too much movements and don't move too fast from side to side views

Thanks for the reviews! I will be adding narration - I need a voice person first. My southern drawl doesn't come across so great in audio.

As far as camera stability, I actually have the Merlin Steadicam. It takes ALOT of practice, and I am doing just that. I don't want to be limited to a tripod, I want to take the viewer on a walk-through.

With the video length, it is hard to get through a house that size any faster without literally moving too fast on my feet. I do agree that I spent too much time in the kitchen, master bath, and back porch. Thanks for letting me realize that.

Charles - I use Sony Vegas Video Editing software

I appreciate all who watched it. I know vacant homes aren't very interesting, so I'm moving on to furnished model homes next!

Lori, I agre with the other comments.  You ask if any other women doint this as a full time business in your post.  I sell real estate full time but also started a company that makes video open houses for realtors.  You can check out my blog for more info.
