Ocean Shores Sunset --- Does it Get Any Better? ---

Although the beauty of the early spring in Woodinville WA (as predicted by Benny) is so enjoyable these days, we still get the hankering for the ocean and all its wonder after a while. Watching the sun set over the Pacific Ocean is at the top of our list of most thrilling and romantic experiences. We think it's in our genes.

 Ocean Shores Sunset

When we just have to have that joyful ocean experience, Ocean Shores WA is our first choice. This is partly due to the wonderful accommodations we've found, as well as the numerous special events that occur year-round. For example, if you are into clam digging, this coming weekend around sunset is just the perfect time and tides for you at Ocean Shores.

Ocean Shores Kite Flying

Along the Ocean Shores area, the long flat sandy shorelines seem to run forever. In fact, this area of the Northwest Pacific Coastline is home to many unique and marvelous beaches with compelling seaside activities.

The entire Washington coastline is full of fabulous adventures. Amazing variety awaits from the Washington Islands Wilderness area to the north, through Indian reservation areas, down the coast to Ocean Shores and Long Beach where the Columbia River meets the Pacific. Several days of exploring along this section of the ocean is an experience you'll never forget.

We particularly like the Ocean Shores area because it offers so many activities, from horseback riding and golfing to whale watching, and exceptional shopping adventures. Then there are the great restaurants, with fabulous dining choices. Be sure to bring your appetite.

We really enjoy flying a kite in the ocean breeze to enhance the fabulous hiking and beachcombing experiences along the shoreline. Mary's skillful kite handling is an amazing sight to behold. It is just the kind of activity that helps work off some of the fine dining experiences. By the way, the World Kite Museum is located in Long Beach, just down the coast a bit from Ocean Shores. There are even spots along this vista of flat beaches where you can drive your car for miles, if you are so inclined.

Our favorite little secret spots are always a joy to revisit. At the same time, we always seem to find new ones to add to our adventure list of places not to miss the next time we return.

We hope to meet up with you sometime as you are exploring the wonders of the Ocean Shores area of Washington State. It may just be one of the most enjoyable experiences of your life.

Very pretty Frank.  I didn't see anyone else out enjoying the show nature was giving.  They don't know what they are missing.

Hi Sharon, your complement is respected as I grew up in the surf at Newport Beach. I've got some great memories of a beautiful place.

Bill, it is a secret we're just sharing now . . . although it looks like Charilie already knows about it ;-)

Thanks, Tony and Darcy.

Frank, like your brush and canvas, your words paint a beautiful description of Woodinville WA.  I've met many people from Washington and they all tell me how beautiful it is...it's on my list of places to visit.
