The Wellington Condominiums of Medford MA (more often called by the street address either 12, 22 or 28 Ninth Street), is made up of 3 eight story buildings surrounding a central courtyard and parking. The complex was built in 3 phases starting in 1984 and completed in 1986.
Each building has a lovely entrance foyer. Most of the 186 units are 2 bedroom condos. They have a split bedroom floor plan where the master bedroom with its private bath and walk in closet is located on one side of the large combination living room/dining room and the second bedroom along with the hall bath is located on the other side. All units have balconies excpet for first floor units that have a patio area. Corner units have larger kitchens with a window in the kitchen. I have seen some units that still have their original Euro style kitchens from the 80's while some unit owners have upgraded their kitchen and baths over the years.
Owners enjoy a inground pool during the summer months along with barbecues for their use in the common area. (Due to fire regulations, barbecues are not allowed on the unit balconies.) There is a community room that can be rented out for a nominal fee for private parties. Use the complex's exercise room and tennis court and save yourself gym fees. Although units feature washer/dryer hookups, there is also common laundry rooms in each building. There is additional storage for each condo in the building basement. The complex has guest parking and a part time on-site manageer to make sure the complex runs well.
The Wellington Conodimiums are aptly named since they are located across from the Wellington T Station on the MBTA's Orange Line giving easy access to Boston.
