Cambridgeport Commons is a 100-unit condo development built in 1988 at the tip of Cambridgeport close to the Charles River and Boston.
Cambridgeport is a popular Cambridge neighborhood. Its streets are lined with Victorians and mature trees. It's one of the few Cambridge locations that offers easy access to both the Red Line and the Green Line subways. Central Square, with a Red Line T stop is at one end of the neighborhood and the Charles River at the other. Cross over the BU Bridge - enjoying the beautiful view while you do - and you can hop on the Green Line or walk down Commonwealth Ave. Now that the Red Sox are back in town it's an easy walk to Fenway Park and Kenmore Square.
Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are in the neighborhood as well as a number of small corner stores. In Central Square you'll find a variety of restaurants, clubs, cafes, and shops. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT, is close by.
Cambridgeport Commons consists of two six-story elevator buildings and several townhouse style buildings encircling a central courtyard. There's underground parking for the complex accessed from the courtyard. There are flats, duplexes and townhouses in the complex and condos range from studios to three-bedrooms. Cambridgeport Commons covers a city block and is flanked by Chestnut Street, Henry Street and Sidney Street.
