Henderson County North Carolina - Early Primary Balloting To Start!  Thursday April 15 is not only tax man day but the start of early primary voting, one-stop voting.  It begins Thursday and continues through May 1.  The primary election is May 4.

My husband and I appreciate the early voting and it has become very popular in Hendersonville and Henderson County, NC.

I will say that in 2008 we probably waited in line as long as we would have on election day due to it being a presidential election but in general it is great to have the choice of waiting, or, come back the next day and see if there is a line.

Henderson County has five early voting sites:  Etowah Library, Fletcher Library, Flat Rock Village Hall, the Board of Elections office and this year a new site in Edneyville at the the Edneyville Recreation Center.  The Edneyville site will only be open for the second week of early voting.  The Edneyville folks need to use it or they run the risk of losing it.

If you are an unaffiliated voter you will need to declare a party to vote in a partisan race.  Transylvania and Polk Counties also have eary voting.  Every vote counts and hopefully you will add yours!
