We all get them, the scam phone calls and Emails from those telling us that we need to pay big bucks to enhance our online presence. I work very hard, largely through Active Rain, to make sure that my business has the highest possible online presence for any number of key search terms in my region. I check my google, bing and yahoo placement (and a few others mainly as a curiosity) on a weekly basis. Therefore I know where I stand. I cannot tell you how many times I have gotten some call from a guy telling me that I have zero online presence and I need to hire his firm so they can give me the shaft. One time the guy argued with me, while we each sat at computers, that I had no presence when I had five of eight hits on the first page of Google. There are many scammers out there. Today, I had a refreshing change. If I actually wanted some help, I might hire this firm. They sent me a polite Email, telling me they have analyzed my web pressence and, if I want to see the results, then follow the link. When I did, this is what I got. It was refreshing to have a marketing piece that was based on research and facts, not a slam-dunk piece based on falsehoods designed to try to scare or shame someone into buying an unneeded product or service. Thanks for stopping by, Steven L. Smith
