USDA Single Family Housing ran out of it's Congressional Allotment a week or so ago. That left thousands of families counting on this funding with few options.
A bill passed the House of Representatives that would add 1.5% to the Upfront Funding Fee (details here). That bill went to the Senate.
Last week the Senate updated it's own form of USDA SFH "re-funding" of the program (budget) so that USDA could again make loans. That bill has a funding fee of "not more than" 4.05%. (read that bill here).
It is important that people contact their elected officials in Washington and ask them to get this bill moving! I was shocked when I saw that only 54 people had left comments!
