The forecast tract for the past several days for Tropical Storm Alex has been very consistent.  Fortunately it doesn't seem as if it will came any where near me.  The storm may reach a cat 2 strength before making landfall near South Padre Island Texas.  What is my point.

With the renewal of American citizens flood insurance held up by politics as usual in Washington, how many homeowners in that area of Texas now have an uninsured exposure on a property?  If you policy lapsed today and isn't renewed by Congress for another week it may be too late for you.

Instead of just voting on flood insurance renewal they want all of the other legislation lumped together in one big bill.  I believe flood insurance should be voted on alone and now.  As a Realtor whose home flooded from hurricane Katrina I know what can happen.  Not to even mention how many Act Of Sale are being held up by homes that require flood insurance from the financing company.

Remember hurricane prone area aren't the only areas that flood.

I sure hope the storms take it easy this year.  There is just too much going on and the area doesn't need that.  I'm glad you have such a good outlook and spirit about it.
