fairThe 64th Annual North Haven Fair runs this year from September 6 - 9. There are plenty of activities for the whole family. The kids will love the petting zoo, the Ronald McDonald Shows and maybe even try an elephant ride. Of course, that is if you can take them away from the mid-way with the amusement rides and games of chance.  You can stroll through the exhibits such as the arts and craft, live stock, and home grown produce to see who won "Best in Show" this year. The competition is always fierce. If all that walking has made you hungry, stop by one of the many food vendors. There are so many choices it will be difficult to decide what to have.  Fried Dough, Subs, Clam Chowder, Fries, Stuffed Bake Potatoes and Donuts are just some of the favorites. Great entertainment is scheduled nightly. This year on Thursday night Big Shot, a Billy Joel tribute band is playing. Friday at 8 pm is John Caffery & The Beaver Brown Band, who you might remember from their hit "On the Dark Side". Saturday at 9pm, is ACM nominated country singer Chris Cagle at 9 pm. Finishing up the weekend entertainment on Sunday at 5:30 are the Gin Blossoms.  Admission is $9.00, children under 12 are free. It is easy to get to off exit 12 off 91 and just follow the signs. cows

I will have to check with my friend in regard to horses sleeping with their eyes open, he has 3, Long time ago, I used ride them. The cows are there because at the North Haven Fair they have live stock, and give out ribbons for the best cattle. They also have sheep, pigs, poultry, and rabbits.
