Just came off a great week August 20, 2010 in my short sale history. After quite a long dry spell, I had three new approvals by the end of last week. Walked in today and  received a short sale approval on a deal I have been trying to bring together for 8 months!  There's 4 hopefully all closing  in the next few weeks!  Persistence pays off!

On this last approval, lender is paying for relocation. When is the last time that happened?  Perhaps the lenders are playing nice again, now that summer is coming to an end?

 

Please share your short sale tips with regard to dealing with lenders.  We need to keep the approvals coming!

Good for you - Nice week!  Unfortunatley lots of hours to get there - but it's the Short Sale way  I guess...

Short Sales are where it is at in Western Massachusetts.  Love them or hate them, I think they are a good 25-30% of the  market in Western Massachusetts. I knew that there would be a lot of extra hours so I hired an assistant to help me take them on!  Good Luck with yours. . .

Agreed.  I used to cover bank inspections for pre-NOD homes (people behind in payments) and for kicks I'd spot check 'em to see what they either paid or their loan was at.

you get the idea...you really can't sell in today's market if you owe too much!  Add to it the foreclosures that are simply dragging down your values now (and eventually offically recognized in the assessments) and it makes it that much tougher.
