Really get in your car and drive to Long Island, call me on my cell and I promise I will tell you where I am. Get here quick and slap me. I will not complain today, I will not complain today.
I am on Isabelle duty this week (she is 2 1/2) because her mother is on her honeymoon in Aruba. Isabelle goes to a day care about a mile from my home and I drove her there this morning. It's a little hectic being a very old working Nana with a small person in the house. I am not complaining, I swear.
Anyway back on track. I drop her off, get in my car and I am in Real Estate mode. Very concerned about the news that new housing stats are down. Troubled by the market right now and frustrated at how hard it is to get a deal to the closing table. It's nuts out there and I was in a little whiny mode. At the stop light which I usually hate because it is soooo long I notice a woman about to cross. She is clearly handicapped and walking is tedious to put it mildly. OK now I am just watching and knowing that if I have to let the light change ten times, that's just fine. I can see she is heading to the bus stop and the bag she is carrying looks heavy. Slow and steady and with determination I have never shown, she keeps on going.
I have no thoughts about the market and the customers. I am just watching. I can walk OK. I have a car. All of my grandchildren walk straight and run like the wind. I will not complain today. I will not complain today.
