Retail numbers are up in August and the stock market is up so far in September.  Can housing be far behind?  Yes in the Antelope Valley, Palmdale and Lancaster area in the high desert we are getting ready for the new Medical Center and Macy’s to open.  Macy’s is slated to start off the holiday season on September 22nd. 

Inventory is on the rise we hit the 1,800 available resale homes and over 1,250 in the core area, a normal amount for our market is about 2,500.  Just a year ago we reported 1,085 overall and only 726 active homes on the market.  We are up over 42% in the core area and over 39% overall.  With prices holding the high desert is still one of the best places to buy a home.  You can get into a 2,200 SqFt, 4 bedroom 3 bath home on the Westside of Palmdale for under  $220,000, talk about a great deal…
