How FUN and what a great idea!  A new way to share, and grow your own holiday experience.  A little far to commute, but I was tempted a bit!  Last time I auditioned for something I had taken my son along to try too.  We had to have southern accents!  Well, I blew that one (perhaps something to do with living in Washington State, and the Wisconsin for my whole life up that point) - but my son was offered a part!  So many years ago!

So you are an actress. How cool. I love Toastmasters and telling stories but never tried acting.

In college I went to an open audition to volunteer to help with the sets.  Not enough showed up to read, so I "stood in" just for the night.  No one came for the second call, or any after that and I landed the role by default...I really didn't want it, and that was the full extent of my acting career, including never having been a flower or bug or sheep or any other thing in any school play or anything else! Now, skits at Girl Scout camp, I could do that! =o)

I'd love to hear more about Toastmasters!  I was a drama coach for 15 years.  :)

Cheryl, Sounds like you preferred being behind the stage making everyone else look good. And you are still making everyone else look good.

Cara, Look Toastmasters up online. There are chapters all over the country. It is peers helping each other to be better public speakers. It is great fun and for us Realtors a valuable learning experience.
