Happy First Full Day of Autumn! The actual minute of end of Summer and the beginning of Autumn seems to be different with each different source, but my source said the change to Autumn for this year occured on September 22nd, 2010 at 11:13pm EST. Along with the change of seasons this year is a full Harvest Moon.
The equinox is when the length of time for night and day are the same. It is also when the sun will rise directly to the east set directly to the west. I would love to be at Stonehenge today -- I believe the stones are arranged so that the sun will rise and set between two sets of stones today. That would be an awesome sunset to witness.
