Didier Farms and a Reflection of Autumns Past by a Long Grove Mom
I love Didier Farms. Every time I pass by Didier Farms I have many fond me
mories of when my children were young and they had the best time getting lost in the maze or finding the biggest and best pumpkin after the hayride tractor dropped us off in the fields. When Didier Farms closes in the fall on Halloween, it is a sad reminder that winter is fast approaching. This year, there are many differnet admission options designed for the busy lifestyle of today's families:
Weekdays:
1) Between the hours of 9am - noon: $8 Admission Fee (children and adults) for unlimited hayrides, the petting zoo, the Cornmaze and the Strawmaze.
2.) OR Between the time 9am -noon: $12.00 Admission Fee for the above activites PLUS unlimited pony rides, sunshine crafts, inflatable pumpkin, reptile exhibit and all mechanical rides running that
3.) OR Between 9am and noon: Purchase single tickets for the pony rides(4), Sunshine Crafts (3 and up), Inflatable Pumpkin(3), camel ride(5), and the big cat exhibit(3) . Tickets are $1.00 each, most activities require (3) tickets.
4.) 12:00 - 5:00: All above activities will be open and ticket must be bought separately for each attraction.
5) Every Thursday is wristband Thursday: Every Thursday during Pumpkinfest from 2:00pm - 6:00pm. For one price you can have unlimited rides for all activities.
Weekends:
All activities are open and tickets must be purchased separately for each attraction.
Now my twins are 14 and my oldest is 18, already in College and I don't have anyone to go with to Didier farms. Writing this blog about one of my favorite Buffalo Grove venues made me very sad about my boys growing up, but also made me reminisce about how much fun it was years ago . Those were the days!!!
