I can't write about the 203k loan all the time, well, I probably could but it may make me boring. Ask my wife, I'm anything but boring... lol. My wife is a great cook, and seems to really enjoy getting into the kitchen or around a BBQ grill, she is so versatile too. She can make grandma's meatloaf to the fancy stuff. We have the Benihana ginger sauce down better than restaurants that attempt to copy it.
Let's have some fun with that. Shirley and I have been going to the Concord CA Benihana restaurant for over twenty-five years and found it to be a wonderful place and we have created our own fun there on many occasions. Many of you know I'm a ventriloquist and magician as well as a 203k Consultant. Once Shirley took one of my vent figures and dressed him up as a Japanese Samurai and when I arrived at home that night knowing we were going there for dinner I was surprised to say the least... we walked into the restaurant and had a ball entertaining with a Japanese accent of course but the vent figure is geOrge and said just that way. That is GeOrge with a LARGE "O". The table had six strangers but I may have been the strangest one there, I'll admit, but we do have fun. A little girl was there and she really wasn't too happy with GeOrge so I put him over on a chair in the corner so she could enjoy her dinner without having to see him. What surprised everyone is that when dinner was over she came over to me and asked if she could meet him so I brought him over to see her and her mother, by now she was sitting in her mother's lap, and I introduced her to geOrge and her mother said "say hi to george" and geOrge corrected the mother with the pronunciation of his name as geOrge and when she repeated it correctly and apologized I had the crowd rolling with laughter. Lots of fun.
Once time the wife and I had been at the Scottish Games in Pleasanton CA when we found this wonderful funny hat with a plaid material and straggly red hair, I put it on without Shirley seeing me do that then moved closer to where she was shopping and backed into her... repeatedly as she tried to ignore this stranger. Finally she turned around and said "will you please stop bumping into me!" looking me straight in the eye then busted up laughing. She said you have to purchase that hat. So we did, and guess what, we went to Benihana's on the way home. It was early and no one was out in the front of the restaurant so I put the hat on and fired up my Scottish accent (as we are Scotch/Irish with some Cherokee on Shirley's side) and I opened the door to the kitchen where several of my regular waitresses were working getting ready for the crowd that was due in soon. I asked for the chef and they asked me to get out of the kitchen please and someone would be out shortly. I said "But I want to see German or Barry right away", they paused and as they laughed at this stranger with the read straggly hair and funny voice asked me again "please wait out in the foyer an we'll have them come right out" so at that time I said "it is hot in here, mind if I remove my hat" and as I took it off they recognized me and the laughter was heard throughout the restaurant. We all had fun with that hat. Hiroshi, Barry, and German are the top three chefs there in case you didn't know and finer people would be hard to find. They really know their business.
Lastly anyone who has been there with me knows that I catch shrimp with the chop sticks but it seems that no one believes it until they see it. I've been doing it for about fifteen or twenty years now and catch most that I try but not 100%. If you want to see it for yourself just invite us... bye for now and maybe we'll see you there.
