Watching the World go By

By

Sometimes don't you wish you could just sit and watch the world go by?

Our animals add so much to our lives.  They are consistent in their love and are always happy to see us.  No one else jumps up and down and greets you so enthusiastically at the door when you come home each day.

Dolce loves to have the window open and watch the traffic and people on the street.  It is so much fun to observe the world in all its activities.  The smells, the excitement of barking at someone or another dog, the sheer joy in watching.

We could take a lesson from their attitude. It is just a joy to watch the world go by.  Plus adding a few barks along the way makes it even better.

By nature I am not a pet person but I have grown to really enjoy my "daughters" and "wife's" dogs which are Yorkshire Terriers. I emphasize daughter and wife since they were a gift for them but I ended up being the Alpha-dog!

Oh...a great read is a book titled "Rescuing Sprite" authored by Mark R Levin, the conservative talk show host.

Cute post and yes, we should all slow down to take things in and enjoy the world.

I have two cats and they are like my babies. I really look forward to weekends so I can spend time with them. Isn't it great how pet's personalities are so different just like us humans? I think they are a lot smarter than humans give them credit for. Just because they cannot communicate or maneuver like us (yet, but I have seen them "evolve" somewhat even in my lifetime of 45 years), does not mean they are stupid.

My daughter actually wanted a Yorkie but I was afraid my granddaughter would smush the poor thing so we ended up with Dolce instead.  Not that she was second choice but we shopped the animal shelters for a long time and could not find a Yorkie.  I ended up buying Dolce in front of Wal Mart.  We inherited my uncle's Boston when he passed away and she is a riot also.  They do add a lot to our lives.

Paula,

Where am I right now?  In the office so I need to take my own advice.

Linda,

I love Lucky's coat.  It is so beautiful. As we are lucky to have them they are lucky to have us.   My daughter used to use her cat as a "stole" around her neck.  It was a sight to behold.  I could not believe that cat would stay still and be carried around like that.

Hi Faye -- we have 2 canine kids and this is Mr. Willie's perch to observe the outside world and keep us informed of outside activities:

The longer you live with them the more they resemble and behave like real people!  They are so much fun and their pluses surely outweigh any minuses.
