Amendment 4 Florida

Amendment 4 is a proposed amendment of Florida's constitution which would require taxpayer-funded referenda on all changes to local government comprehensive plans.

Amendment 4 Florida

In other words, this "Vote on Everything" amendment would force Floridians - not the representatives they elect - to decide hundreds of technical comprehensive plan changes each year.

Amendment 4 has the potential to devastate our communities by:

  • Stalling Development
  • Increasing the cost of Housing
  • Endless legal battles
  • 260,000 jobs lost and that means fewer homebuyers
  • Higher Property Taxes

Lana:  I am sorry... but this really seems like a silly idea.  You elect people to represent you, and you choose those people according to their ability to do the right thing.  Let them do their jobs.  Voting on everything... just makes no sense at all.

While it has merits "in theory" it would be a horrible reality. The genenral public would be asked to vote on issues of which they have little or no understanding. The loss of time would send developers to more lucrative locations. "NO" is the only choice.

Amendment 4 is bad for the people and the State of Florida, just say no.

Good luck and success.
