Suzanne and I are now proud members of The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing!
Early next week, the paperwork (which has already been submitted) should be processed to award us each the CLHMS designation.
"Members of The Institute who hold the CLHMS designation have successfully demonstrated their expertise in the luxury home and estate market by meeting strict performance requirements.
Choose an agent with the CLHMS designation and you know he or she has a solid track record of helping affluent clients achieve their real estate goals. "
We plan to follow this in the near future with membership in the Million Dollar Guild. We need just one more transaction at or above the $1,000,000 mark to get to this level - is on our list to complete prior to end of 2006!
Teri Isner asked us to share our top 3 "aha's" from the class.
1. The Luxury Home Buyer/Seller is EVEN MORE internet connected and savvy than the average Buyer & Seller. That's great news for those of us who target that price range and do so with technology!
2. Millionaires shop at Costco! For those of you who didn't know, Costco is the largest retailer of diamonds, cashmere and wine in the world! And the location that sells the most wine within Costco is in our neck of the woods - wonder if Costco would let us do some in house marketing to the millionaire wine buyers?!
3. The bottom half of the luxury home market is inhabited by "S-T-R-E-T-C-H" consumers. They love the lifestyle, but have to stretch to live it. These folks are very sensitive to professional fee expenses. In our area that is the 575K-900K price range.
