Staging and Redesign (SAR) Instructors named to leadership roles with the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA)
The Real Estate Staging Association (RESA), an international association that provides support to all professional real estate Stagers, has announced that Melissa Marro, founder of First Impressions, Home Staging & Interior Redesign and Staging and Redesign Training (SAR) of Charleston South Carolina has been named the RESA Southeast Regional Vice President and that Karen Otto, founder of Home Star Staging of Plano, Texas has been named RESA Texas State President.
Marro states "I believe It is important for all of us to support RESA, an organization who is constantly working hard to improve the Home Staging Industry and educate the public on understanding the powerful effects that staging has on the sale of homes" Marro will be speaking to a large group of Home Stagers assembling at the January 2011 RESA Las Vegas conference on the topic "Turning numbers into sales - Using Statistics to Grow Your Business". "I am very excited and honored to be asked to participate as one of the keynote speakers at the upcoming RESA convention. I always enjoy discussing the techniques that I have used to helped make my staging businesses successful." Marro-Recently announced that she had re-launched her Staging & Redesign (SAR) training courses which she began offering in January 2007. She is also one of the 2011 RESA Professional Stager of the Year finalists.
Otto-who has held the president's position of the RESA Dallas Chapter for the last 2 years, stated "I am honored to be named the Texas State President. I feel that it is extremely important for all stagers to be involved with the RESA organization that supports Home Staging home stagers and the real estate industry so tirelessly" Otto- has also been asked to share her expertise as a member of the "Panel of Experts" at the upcoming January 2011 RESA Las Vegas conference "It was quite an honor to be asked to sit on the experts' panel. The RESA International conference is known to be the only one of its kind by providing all International Stagers regardless of their designations or affiliations an opportunity to gather for professional development in the Home Staging Industry. I look forward to offering my expertise as well as gaining insight from my colleagues along with my peers in the staging industry"
Other Staging and Redesign (SAR) instructors already holding leadership positions with RESA are Linda Barnett owner of Home Matters Home Staging, Redesign & Training of Indianapolis, one of Indiana's largest and most prolific home staging and redesign companies holds the position of RESA Indiana State President. Barnett-like Otto has been asked to share her expertise as a member of the Panel of Experts at the upcoming January 2011 RESA Las Vegas conference and is also a 2011 RESA Professional Stager of the Year finalist. Bernadette Flaim co-owner of Attention2Detail of Leonia, New Jersey holds the position of RESA New Jersey State President.
Marro-Founder and Lead Trainer founded First Impressions, Home Staging & Interior Redesign in 2005 and helped it become one of the premier staging and training companies in the southeast. While still helping clients with their local staging needs, she also helps other stagers begin and grow their businesses. In 2007/2008 she also held the RESA Southeast Regional Vice President Position & was nominated for the 2007 RESA Staging Innovator of the Year and 2007 RESA Staging Professional of the Year awards. She was also named the national winner of the 2009 RESA Professional Stager of the Year Award and nominee of 2009 RESA Staging Innovator of the Year award. These awards were based on her significant industry volunteer work as well as individual and company achievements.
Otto-A Home Staging professional and Certified Home Staging Trainer-founded Home Star Staging in 2006 in Plano Texas and has since worked with many homeowners, realtors, builders and investors throughout the Northern Texas area. Otto holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Florida IU, was trained and certified as an Accredited Staging Professional (ASPTM) in 2006 and earned her RESA-PRO designation in 2010. Besides training for SAR, Otto is also the Collin College Plano Campus, Home Staging CE course instructor. Otto has been selected to sit on the Real Estate Staging Associations panel of experts being held in Las Vegas, January 23rd to 25th.
Barnett-A Staging professional, interior decorator, former realtor and Home Staging Trainer- founded Home Matters Home Staging and Redesign in early 2004 and today operates one of the most prolific Home Staging companies in Indiana having serviced over 1,200 clients with 5 design/staging specialist. Linda was trained in 2004 as an Accredited Staging Professional (ASP) and extended her education in 2008 by becoming SAR Certified and again in 2009 by becoming certified as a CSP. Linda is also an Indiana State certified instructor through the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency and the Indiana Real Estate Commission offering certified training to Home Stagers and Real Estate agents including a GRI Continued Education class for the Indiana Association of Realtors at the IUPUI Campus at Kokomo, Indiana. Linda served as Technical Editor for the Home Staging for Dummies book, which was released by Wiley Publishing, Inc. in May of 2008.
Flaim-co-owner of Attention2Detail, Leonia, NJ. Flaim is certified in interior redesign and professional organizing and has been an accredited real estate staging professional since 2004. Her firm specializes in interior redesign, professional organizing and real estate staging. Flaim and her business partner were voted the 2009 New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners, Business Woman of the Year and she currently serves as the NJAWBO Bergen County Chapter's Director of Marketing. In addition, Flaim serves as President of the Real Estate Staging Associations (RESA) New Jersey Chapter and has a degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology, in New York.
