Don, thanks for sharing TJ.  I think the idealists and scholars of the old day knew their stuff - it's a pity that most of the leadership we find in the US right now can barely articulate three syllable words, aside from Obama of course.  Cheers, Jark.

Great stuff Don, thanksfor passing on the inspiration of TJ.  It' amazing how he could foresee the future should the people veer from the country's founding principles...  

Don, his writings are still ringing true.  Our government officials need to post this on their walls and stick to the basics.

Okay, so let's all succeed from the "states" and start afresh - wouldn't that be great!!!  We could form a great new country based on the wisdom of great ideas such as these.  Oh, that's right - it happened and look what's it's turning out to be...........

And to think the Democrats think of this man as a founder of their party......a man who they barely know.

But then, in fairness, many a Republican is none to familiar with the thoughts of Abraham Lincoln.
