The part I never get a clear answer on is this: do they charge $5 for EVERY e-signed document, or per party per signed document or is it a "$5 per transaction" charge.

I love docusign, and got my broker on board and 15 agents signed up. It's been life changing...unless you're doing a short sale with a bank who won't accept it but they don't tell you until much later into the deal:)

Redwood City, CA:  Suzanne,  I like your article.  It is true for the norm of real estate now and into the future.  I use DocuSign.  My only concern is that you can't create a library of standard forms other than those your local board of Realtors provide.  I think it will only be a matter of time before this short fall is addressed.  I like your thinking.

Great Article. I love docusign. I hate getting documents that have been faxed so many times you can't read them. I renently submitted a Fannie Mae addendum with e-sign and it was rejected because of the e-signatures. I had my clients sign by hand and when I got the document back from Fannie Mae they had e-signed it. Go figure no wonder they are so screwed up. I had sent docusign documents to them before with no problem.
