CP-36 Commission Position on Minimum Service Requirements

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Alliance in Louisville, Colorado

Hello Colorado Realtors---

Did anyone else receive an email today from the Colorado Division of Real Estate?

Subject:  A New Position Statement

Details on the minimum service requirements for Brokers when servicing Sellers and Buyers.

What does this mean?  Does it mean that Limited Service Brokers will actually have to provide a service to their Clients?  What about the MLS entry only Listing Agents?

I have a Contract I am working right now with a Limited Service Broker and it's so confusing because the Listing Agent did not even deliver the Contract I emailed her to the Seller.  I had to email it to them and then discuss the details of the Contract with the Seller even though I am representing the Buyer.  And I have another in the queue which is very similar.

Curious why this came out today?  And I like to know if we are going to see some real changes as a result?

Thanks,

Mario
