One of the many things I love about Pearland is the many fantastic parks in our city. That's why I am going to spotlight a different Pearland park each week. Wouldn't it be great to discover a new place to take your children, have a picnic or walk at?
This week, I'm shining the spotlight on Independence Park. Located at 3919 Liberty Drive - right down the street from City Hall and the Library, Independence Park is on of Pearland's largest parks and the site of many city celebrations throughout the year.
Independence Park has a lot to offer everyone! From a large covered pavilion to several picnic benches by shaded trees, Independence Park is an ideal spot for birthday parties, family picnic and other gatherings.
Looking for a place to work out? Independence Park has great walking trails! There are also tennis courts and basketball courts where you can pick up a game. There is also big, open spaces for soccer and football! How great would it be to bring a church group or a bunch of your child's friends to the park to play a game? Don't forget that in the summer, the city pool is also open. The pool is complete with covered toddler pool!
What park isn't complete without a playground? Independence Park has a few GREAT playground areas! The kids will definitely love to play here! With swings, slides and more, there is something for every child!
Independence Park is open everyday from 6:00 am - 10:00 pm.
