If you want to buy a home that is reasonably priced, and may have a little work to do to it, a HUD home is the way to go. You may even occasionally find one that doesn't have anything to do to it. I am one of Century 21 Judge Fite Company's HUD agents, and they have kept me very busy since I got into them.

I have written at least 2 contracts a week since the first of the year on HUD's, and actually have ran out of homes I know about with about 6 or 7 clients wanting to look at some.
