Capriotti's Sandwich Shop
Yesterday afternoon our neighbors stopped in and told us about a new restaurant in town that was in a the middle of a soft opening. They informed us that the food was fantastic and that everything was free for this day only because they were training their staff and spreading the word about their new location. Well we could not pass up a chance to check out a new restaurant in town so we finished working and headed over.
My wife ordered the Cran-Slam Club, which has homemade turkey, cranberry sauce, ham, mayo and lettuce. All on a fresh wheat bread. The sandwich was more than a meal, in fact it was so large that it turned out to be two meals!
Based on the recommendation of the server, I ordered the Cheese Steak with everything on it - grilled onions, sweet peppers and hot peppers. It too was probably big enough for two meals but I couldn't stop and had to eat the whole thing.
There are several sandwiches on the menu that we are going to go back and try - The Bobbie, which is their signature sandwich that is similar to the Cran-Slam Club save it also includes dressing; The Capastrami simply because of the great name.
Even though you may have missed the soft opening and the free food, you MUST stop in a give this new place a try.
