Big Impact "Show" Selling Ideas

By

Spruce up your home to get it ready to sell with these easy ideas & make your home stand out in a crowded buyers market!

  1. Curb appeal!

Paint the front door!  Try a new color for the exterior trim, fix any old shutters & clear the path from the driveway to the front door.  Remove any overgrown plants & replace them with shrubs & perennials.

  2. Fix, Fix, Fix!

Fix everything!  Broken joints, cracks/holes in walls, check the foundation & recaulk the bathroom tub, if necessary.   In potential buyers minds, they think "if these things aren't done, what else isn't done"?  What would you see if you were walking through your house?  Would you buy it in it's current condition at it's listed price?

  3. Paint!

Painting is the easiest way to spruce up a room and the most cost effective.  If you have a dark room, lighten it up.  If you have all white walls, painting them will give some character to your home.  Just keep in mind, potential buyers don't want to walk into a dark & dreary room, so keep your color choices light & cheerful.

  4. Bling!

Go into your local hardware store & see what door knobs, draw pulls, light switch plates, hinges & other fixtures they have.  Does it look like what you have in your home?  Replacing these with current, hip & up to date items will make a huge difference in the look of your home!

If your home looks different from everyone elses, it will stick out in potential buyers minds.
